Efforts are underway to develop a second version of the MAC Annex. This Annex describes the procedure for the measurement of the additional fuel consumption and CO2 emission due to the operation of the Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) system in a light-duty vehicle.
The procedure consists of a physical test with the entire vehicle on a chassis dynamometer in an emission laboratory.
